Department of Skill Development Aims to Elevate Standards of Nuad Thai Professionals Abroad, Particularly in the Middle East

 

In a significant step towards reinforcing the professional standards of Nuad Thai globally, Taiy Pradit Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Center in Dubai was honored to host the “The National Standard Skill Test (Nuad Thai), Level 1” training and assessment program on July 10-11, 2025. This pivotal event was organized by the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour, Thailand.

 

In a significant step towards reinforcing the professional standards of Nuad Thai globally, the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour, Thailand, initiated and organized the “The National Standard Skill Test (Nuad Thai), Level 1” training and assessment program on July 10-11, 2025. For this pivotal event, Taiy Pradit Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Center in Dubai was specifically chosen and honored to serve as the host venue, providing an ideal environment for the assessments.

 

The primary objective of the Department of Skill Development is to diligently work towards elevating the skill standards of Nuad Thai professionals abroad, particularly within the dynamic Middle East region, thereby ensuring higher quality and professionalism. Highly qualified experts from the Department flew from Thailand to meticulously manage all data and meticulously plan the entire examination system to promote this National Standard Skill Test (Nuad Thai), Level 1. Taiy Pradit’s state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to service excellence made it the ideal choice to facilitate this esteemed event.

 

The prestigious event was graced by the presence of high-ranking executives and government representatives, serving as chairpersons and witnesses. These included:

  • Mr. Decha Pruksapattanarak, Director-General of the Department of Skill Development (Chairman of the Ceremony)
  • Mr. Somchart Suparee, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Skill Development
  • Ms. Nipa Nirannoot, Consul General of Thailand in Dubai
  • Ms. Alisa Suparb, Labor Attaché at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi

 

A total of 40 professional Thai masseurs from Dubai and other establishments, including those from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, participated in a rigorous three-step assessment:

  1. Theoretical Examination: Testing fundamental knowledge of Nuad Thai principles, anatomy, and ethics.
  2. Interview: Assessing communication skills, professional conduct, and understanding of client care.
  3. Practical Assessment: Evaluating hands-on techniques, treatment protocols, and safety practices.
    Notably, among the 40 participants were also graduates from the Thai Therapy Training Center BKK – Thailand (ศูนย์อบรมการนวดแผนไทย กรุงเทพฯ – ไทย), showcasing the strong foundation of skill development from their training.

The test results were highly satisfactory, with all participants demonstrating excellent performance in each segment and receiving their Certificates of Recognition, which will serve as an honor to their profession.
